State guide

Virginia

Virginia has meth-specific statutes for both home sales and residential rentals, and the Virginia Board of Health publishes cleanup guidelines. I did not find a statewide public registry of meth-contaminated properties, but Virginia regulates cleanup through health guidance and contractor licensing, and DPOR provides the sale disclosure form.

Checked against official sources on October 4, 2026. Rules and links change; confirm with the office listed before you act.

I did not find a current Virginia state registry of meth-contaminated properties on official state pages; use the DEA National Clandestine Laboratory Register for incident locations.

What to do next

  1. Ask the seller for the Virginia meth manufacture disclosure form if you suspect prior contamination.
  2. For rentals, get any meth disclosure in writing before signing; Virginia gives tenants a termination remedy for nondisclosure.
  3. Check contractor licensing through DPOR and ask for cleanup and sampling documentation showing results at or below 1.5 µg/100 cm².
